The alumni of Faculty of Fine Art (FFA), popularly known as Charukola celebrated its 70th founding anniversary and the 104th birthday anniversary of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin on the 10 December, 2018 with an inauguration ceremony and art exhibition at the Zainul Gallery.
Charukola has been organizing Zainul Utsab to celebrate the legendary artist’s life since 2009. The campus wore a festive look for the event and the eminent artists, teachers of FFA, Dhaka University expressed their respect towards Zainul Abedin. Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, Dr Mohammed Akhtaruzzaman, Director of Bangladesh Shilpokola Academy, Liakat Ali Lucky, Director of Bengal Foundation, Luva Nahid Choudhury, and Engineer Moinul Abedin were present as special guests at the event.
The exhibition displayed exquisite artworks for sale by alumni teachers and students of all the departments of FFA. The exhibiton was open for all from 10 December 2018 to 20 December 2018.
