  1. What is your opinion about the architecture scene of Bangladesh right now?

The practice of the profession ‘architecture’ has reached to a dignified status. Our practice has inspired the curiosity of analysis and action- that means we have strived to ask the right question and look for an answer that is embedded in logic. Of course, there had been a period when our buildings looked more like product of globalization than a response to the context. However, I believe there has been a paradigm shift. The last two decades have witnessed changes in our address to the problem as well as in public attitudes to ecology and energy consumption. This is even visible in ways we are responding to urban problems. This awareness is sure to bring in more outstanding works- I believe.

  1. What according to you is the future of architecture in Bangladesh?

At the advent of economic growth, the scope for works has increased significantly here.

New economic ventures have opened up vast scope for works. We get to see quite a number of good works and the paradigm shift in design wisdom in our future generations of architects are really commendable.

  1. A piece of advice for young architects who want to build a career in this field

Believe in your culture and wisdom and practicing them through their interpretations in space can create ageless architecture.

  1. A quote that you swear by

Architecture is for people. It should speak for the people it is designed for.
