Solo Exhibition by Lutfa Mahmuda in Uzbekistan

A creative exhibition of Lutfa Mahmuda was held at the Academy of fine Art of Uzbekistan Republican Specialized Art School on May 10 to 15 by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Uzbekistan. At the exhibition, more than 20 artworks of the artist were presented to art lovers. The opening ceremony of this exhibition was attended by the chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan A. Nuriddinov, media representatives, pedagogical team and students.

Lutfa Mahmuda graduated from India’s Visva-Bharati University. She has experimented with various mediums of art such as lithography on aluminium sheets. Her interest in art goes beyond specific mediums, focusing on the social aspects of life and it’s influences on fine arts. The artist maintained a close relationship with the arts from a very early age. The Visva-Bharati University graduate nurtured this connection through her practice of painting and dance. After completing her Art residency in Jakarta, Indonesia, her works have been showcased internationally on platforms such as SAYPA by Kibria Chapchitra studio, the International oriental art Biennale in Bangladesh National Museum, the sixth Silk Road International Art Festival exhibition in Xian, among others.
