Radiant Dental Care, located on Level 8 (South) of Delvistaa Fuljhuri on Satmosjid Road in Dhanmondi, sits in one of Dhaka’s most active and familiar neighborhoods. With the Abahani Field right across the street, the setting brings a mix of urban energy and open sky. Within this context, the project was designed and executed by Attune Architects, led by Principal Architect Md. Shahnewaj Abdullah and Associate Architect Abbas Uddin Ahmed. The project merges precision with poise, translating clinical function into spatial calm.
Prof. Dr. Salahuddin Ahmed, a respected name in dental consultation, wanted a chamber that would feel modern, calm, and visually clear. He approached Attune Architects with a clear vision: a space that reflects care not only through professional skill but also through the atmosphere it provides.
For Radiant Dental Care, they focused on creating a place where patients feel relaxed, doctors feel supported, and technology blends smoothly with the overall environment. The photography, done by Mud Canvas (Md. Abid Mia), captures this balance with honesty, showing both the raw textures and the softness of the light.
Completed in November 2023, the chamber covers 122.6 square meters, yet the design makes it feel open and welcoming. The architects took advantage of the site’s natural lighting and raw character. Instead of hiding the bare structure, they embraced it. The ceiling was kept exposed, giving the room height and texture. This raw element was balanced with smooth surfaces, pastel shades, and neat detailing, creating a space that feels clean & calm.
The design philosophy centers around minimalism that feels warm rather than strict. Soft whites, pale tones, and gentle lighting shape the mood. The moment a visitor enters, they are met with a combination of natural textures, subtle colors, and a bright yet soothing ambience. The waiting area is calm, simple, and thoughtfully arranged. It avoids the usual sterile and harsh feel of traditional clinics. Instead, it offers an atmosphere where patients can sit with ease, supported by a design that respects comfort.
The layout is shaped carefully to support both workflow and hygiene. The movement from public to clinical zones is smooth and logical. The planning ensures that staff can work efficiently, while patients experience clear transitions and do not feel overwhelmed. The design also supports strict hygienic requirements without letting those needs dominate the visual character of the space.
Inside the treatment chambers, natural light is a central feature. It washes over the pastel surfaces and highlights the raw ceiling above. This mix of honesty and softness gives the chamber a grounded yet refined feel. Artificial lighting is kept minimal and controlled, used only where needed. The latest dental units and digital systems are integrated in a clean, organized manner so that the room feels open, not crowded. Even with advanced technology present, the visual calm remains intact.
Acoustic insulation plays an important role. Dentistry often involves sound that can raise patient anxiety, but here the rooms are designed to stay quiet and focused. This benefits both the patient and the practitioner, allowing each to feel relaxed and centered during treatment.
Throughout the design, the architects tried to create an atmosphere that supports sense of ease. The aim was not only to build a clinic but to build a space as a path to trust. Natural textures, measured lighting, and open ceiling height work together to form an environment that feels peaceful, precise, and sincere.
Radiant Dental Care is one of the examples, how interior design can shape the way people experience healthcare. By respecting natural light, using calm colors, and planning the clinic with both function and feeling in mind, Attune Architects created a space that stands apart. It is clinical in its purpose but human in its spirit. Here, patients do not enter a cold, intimidating room. They step into a place designed with care at every level, where comfort and professionalism meet in a quiet but meaningful way.
