Dialogues in Coexistence: Shaping Inclusive Public Spaces in the Bengal Delta opened at Bengal Shilpalay on 27 June 2026, presenting an interdisciplinary exhibition that explores how architecture can foster inclusion, resilience, and coexistence.

Commissioned by the British Council as part of the Women of the World (WOW) Bangladesh 2026 programme and supported by Bengal Foundation, the exhibition is led by architects Saiqa Iqbal Meghna and Suvro Sovon Chowdhury.

The inauguration was attended by Honourable State Minister for Planning, Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki, M.P., and James Goldman, British Deputy High Commissioner and Development Director to Bangladesh. Luva Nahid Choudhury, Director-General of Bengal Foundation, and Stephen Forbes, Country Director of the British Council Bangladesh, presided over the event.

Curated by Luva Nahid Choudhury and Wakilur Rahman, the exhibition reflects sixteen years of architectural practice by the two architects. Through immersive installations, handcrafted clay tiles, bamboo screens, fabric canopies, and public interventions, the project explores feminist ethics, climate-responsive design, and community participation as essential tools for shaping inclusive public spaces across the Bengal Delta.

The exhibition also highlights the architects’ design philosophy of Climate, Context, and Care, which has earned them international recognition, including the RIBA International Award for Excellence 2026 for the acclaimed Zebun Nessa Mosque.
Open daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM until 25 July 2026, Dialogues in Coexistence invites visitors to experience architecture as a discipline of building and a powerful medium for dialogue, social responsibility, and collective well-being.
