Safiuddin Shilpalay extends a warm invitation to the grand opening of Ripon Kumar Das’ debut solo exhibition, “Accent.” This event was scheduled for Friday, April 26th, starting at 6:00 PM at Safiuddin Shilpalay’s premises, House 21A (1st floor), Road 4, Dhanmondi, Dhaka – 1205.
With the honored presence of Chief Guest Professor Rafiqun Nabi, Professor Emeritus of Dhaka University, and Presiding Guest Professor Syed Abul Barq Alvi, an eminent artist and freedom fighter from the Faculty of Fine Art at the University of Dhaka, the occasion holds great significance for the local art community.
The guest lineup includes Professor Shishir Bhattacharjee, a respected member of the Department of Drawing & Painting at the Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka, along with Zahid Mustafa, who’s an artist and critic associated with Safiuddin Shilpalay.
Ripon Kumar Das, an alumnus of Dhaka University’s drawing and painting department, was set to reveal his artistic journey through 44 captivating paintings. These artworks, created between 2020 and 2024, enclose a diverse range of styles and techniques that includes watercolor and charcoal on paper.
The exhibition marks a significant milestone in Ripon Kumar Das’ career, providing art lovers with a unique opportunity to engage themselves in his creative vision. He invites viewers to explore the complexities of human expression and the beauty of the world around us with each of his brushstrokes.
