Resilient Becoming

Bhumi Gallery marked an important milestone with Resilient Becoming, a landmark group exhibition organized to celebrate the opening of its second branch at Centrepoint in Uttara, Dhaka. Bringing together more than 114 artists from across generations, the exhibition offered a rich and diverse portrait of Bangladesh’s vibrant artistic landscape.

Inaugurated on November 21, 2025, by distinguished artists Rafiqun Nabi and Monirul Islam, the exhibition welcomed art lovers, collectors, and cultural enthusiasts over its 21-day run. Due to an enthusiastic response, the exhibition was later extended through December 31, allowing even more visitors to experience the remarkable collection.

The exhibition featured works by some of the country’s most celebrated masters, including Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, Kamrul Hasan, SM Sultan, Qayyum Chowdhury, and Mohammad Kibria. Alongside these legendary figures, the show also showcased works by acclaimed contemporary artists and a large group of promising young talents, creating a meaningful dialogue between different generations of artistic practice.

Through paintings, mixed-media works, and sculptures, Resilient Becoming explored themes of memory, transformation, identity, and quiet perseverance. The exhibition reflected how art continues to evolve while remaining deeply connected to personal and collective experiences.

Located at Centrepoint beside Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Bhumi Gallery transformed its new space into a vibrant cultural destination. The exhibition concluded with a warm closing ceremony and artists’ fellowship gathering, where music, conversations, and shared reflections celebrated the creative community that made the event possible.

More than an exhibition, Resilient Becoming stood as a testament to the enduring spirit of artistic expression and the power of art to connect people across time and generations.
